Once in a while, I like to back to simply drawing my specialties. People are great, but still difficult for me. Animals, especially horses are fun and easy. So when
 requested a gypsy vanner for her free sketch, I jumped at the chance to do it.Gypsy vanners really are gorgeous horses, they were bred from Shire, Clydesdale and Friesian stock to be the ultimate cart puller. I love it's shape, I don't know what it is about draught horses, but I think they look so much better than other species. I guess it the quiet power, or simply that they're giant teddy bears. I dunno. On a different note! Believe it or not, the most difficult part of this piece (for me) was the flowers! I don't do a lot of vegitation, aside from the ambiguous blades of grass, so this was tough! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Well, not quite. But you get it. I was excited. Because I love Gypsy Vanners so much. I agree, most Vanners that I've met are all big teddies. I've only met three, so that's not saying much... but! Still...
